Fillet of Solo (FoS) is a showcase of Chicago’s rich and broad-ranging storytelling community. FoS presents bold, entertaining, revelatory performances from a wide range of perspectives. It hosts both solo artists and collectives. It features established artists as well as offering support and opportunity to new voices.


After 30 years as an annual storytelling festival, Fillet of Solo has transitioned to a weekly showcase at Bughouse Theater. We welcome the opportunity to gather more frequently, to process the times in which we live and to enjoy hot-off-the-presses stories.

Tekki Lomnicki is the founder and Artistic Director of Tellin’ Tales Theatre, a 30+ year-old company dedicated to shattering the barriers between the disabled and non-disabled worlds through the power of personal story. Tekki is joined by fellow-storytellers Stephen Donart and Judith Harding as they share tales of work and obsession!

After a few weeks off in September, Fillet of Solo will resume its regular Sundays at 2:00 PM schedule on October 4th. We look forward to seeing you then!
